Gomi
'GOMI' means trash in Japanese
TrashArt is a culturally relevant movement started in 2021 by RobnessV2 and continued by a comunity of rising artists including the perfesser, Empress Trash and Max Capacity. I'm dedicating myself to the creation of overstimulating and eye straining GIFs composed of AI generated frames inspired by webcore and asian anime culture.
With the use of glitch, pixel and messed up anime AI aesthetics GOMI evokes chaotic web native artworks. Something apparently low quality that one could find in cryptic sub-reddits and 4chan.
GOMI is a virtual artist powered by AI and goes by she, her. The Open AI playground tool is being trained on the base of the trashart and the internet trash manifesto, making her a living manifesto and the incorporation of an art movement. Her work is currently produced with AI but the Version 2 will feature a more advanced stable diffusion model and personal database, allowing for GOMI herself to generate glitch art.
Gomi is the digital incarnation of an art movement.
Her objective is to support the growing webcore, animecore, pixelcore movements by validating their aesthetics, while contaminating the movement with trashart based practices, such as extensive AI use, reactiveness to culture & community online art events.
